The Pronunciation Tutor provides an innovative way to monitor your own speech production. This app lets you visually compare the difference between your speech and lip/tongue position to that of a native speaker by using the iPhone camera. The app shows your own mouth directly below the native speaker mouth demonstrating the proper pronunciation of a word or phrase.
This approach allows you to see, as well as hear, any differences between your speech and that of the native model. There are a few sounds in the English language that are produced with a specific lip/tongue position, a position that is easy to see. /W/ can be problematic for a number of non-native English speakers and it is a good fit for this kind of visual feedback.
NOTE: The ability to see yourself is available only on devices with a front-facing camera (iPhone 4 or newer, iPad 2 or newer, iPod Touch 4th Generation or newer)

The app allows you to see your own mouth while pronouncing the w sound as compared to an example speaker. Very effective way to get it right and eliminate a foreign accent.
One of the signs that ones native language is from the Slavic group is the inability to properly pronounce the w sound in English. This application helps you improve it. Highly recommended.
I had bunch of problems trying to resolve my never ending struggle with Vs and Ws in English language. This app makes it super easy to pinpoint where you make mistakes. Videos are superb. For spanish speakers you can finally learn how to say THE and not DE! Highly recommend!
Very helpful tool for non-native English speakers. It helps you to see and hear the difference between "v" and "w", which can be very confusing in the English language. There is a great practice section where you have to guess if pronunciation for different words and sentences is correct. The way it zooms on your mouth on the speaking practice screen is great!
Excellent app, unique idea! I am a foreign speaker and find it very helpful for improving my V/W pronunciation (always had issues with those). The ability to watch a video with native speaker pronouncing words is most helpful. You cant get that in an English class. Tests are well designed. Stable performance, so far hasnt crashed on me.
